About Plaistowe

I set up Plaistowe Designs after I had suffered a bout of mild depression. I started making these greetings cards by finding I could scan fresh flowers from my Hampshire garden, and then turn them into cards. I have also been known to snip cuttings from my neighbours' and friends' gardens! Sales in aid of The Prostate Cancer Charity in London have grown since this beginning. I can be found at school fairs, local craft fairs and I also sell to my friends.

My husband, Ken, contracted Prostate Cancer in 1997 and Plaistowe Designs was set up in 1999. Ken recovered completely from Prostate Cancer, but sadly died in 2002 from an unrelated brain tumour.

I love watching my garden bloom and am always on the lookout for the special flower that I can turn into a new card! I do hope you will enjoy following the seasons in my garden through this website.
